Convergence, Perceptions of Neuroscience, in partnership with the Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience (BRaIN) Program, and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Concordia University, has the pleasure to introduce our new conferences series focused on the crossover of science, the arts and communication: "Convergence Sci-Art Art-Sci Conferences."

This Wednesday, October 25th, 2017, at 6 PM, Trevor Butterworth, Executive Director of Sense About Science USA, will offer the introductory talk to our series, "The Sleep of Reason Produce Monsters: Science and Scientific Method in the Popular Imagination."

Trevor Butterworth has written for the New Yorker Online, the Harvard Business Review, Newsweek, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many other publications. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin, Georgetown University, and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, and is currently a visiting fellow at Cornell University.His works focus on statistical literacy, clinical trial transparency, and science communication. Headdress the relationship between media and science, focusing on the bidirectional influence between science, arts and communication, as well as people’s perception of science.
